A truly unique work of art awaits visitors to the Biró-Giczey House in Veszprém: the altarpiece of St. Michael, which has returned after a long time from the church in Zalaszentmihály. This painting is not only a symbol of faith and religious commitment, but also a gem of Baroque art, with details that tell captivating stories. The painting was copied from the original at the beginning of the 20th century as a tribute to this Baroque masterpiece.
The special find debuted at the Night of Museums exhibition in the Work in Progress exhibit in the Veszprém Castle District. Archaeologists unearthed a nearly 400-year-old women's slipper and silk dress in one of the graves in the crypt of the Veszprém Saint Michael Cathedral.

We were able to glimpse into a futuristic lab where a local company is scanning stone artifacts from the Veszprém Castle Hill, where contemporary cutting-edge technology meets objects that bear witness to our history of nearly a thousand years.
